Description

Abstract: The main aim of this inquiry is to understand through a single case study what explains organizational persistence. The research paradigm is underpinned by a form of process philosophy and the theoretical framework integrates insights from philosophy, psychology and organizational cybernetics. The theoretical model developed to explain organizational persistence is consistent with the VSM and brings a new synthesis into the field of system sciences by unfolding the concept of the self. Regarding the methodology, the author is using a mixed method systemic intervention combining phenomenological inquiry, appreciative inquiry and VSM in order to develop a new methodology to assess and improve organizational persistence.
