Abstract

This thesis portfolio comprises three parts:

Part one is a systematic literature review that explores the impact of having a
disabled sibling from a child’s perspective.

Part two is a qualitative study using Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis
(IPA) to understand the experiences of parents who adopt a child with a
disability.

Part three is a complete set of appendices for parts one and two. This also
includes an epistemological and a reflective statement.
